BHS Research Resources
Since the inception of the museum, great efforts have been made to document and preserve the unique heritage and history of the Buxton community. Through the years, we have been awarded many grants, providing the museum board with the finances needed to contract staff and purchase supplies to add to the ever-growing collection of site archives. Researchers are a common sight at the Buxton Museum!
To ease your quest for information, the Buxton Museum has produced lists with many of our resource materials. As our collection is on rare occasions loaned to other facilities, such as the Royal Ontario Museum, we suggest that you make an appointment to view specific archives on our site.

For assistance from the museum staff or to discover if the museum archives contain the documentation you are seeking (family trees, marriage or baptism certificates, wills, photos, etc.), we have developed a Research Request form.
