Joyce Middleton, Buxton Historical Society President, will represent the Buxton Museum at the Canada Post unveiling of two commemorative stamps in Vancouver, B.C.. The program entitled, "The Courage to Make a Difference", will be hosted by the National Congress of Black Women Foundation on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009. Mrs. Middleton created a presentation of Abraham Doras Shadd to provide this assembly, in her official capacity as BHS President and on behalf of the Shadd family, as his great-great- granddaughter.
