Jacob Enos
Early Settler of Buxton

Jacob Enos was born in the United States around 1831. Jacob married Louisa Attley who was also born in the United States. Jacob and Louisa's first son Isaac was their only child born in the United States. Jacob and Louisa had several children in Canada; Henry, John, Mary, Martha, Anna, Isabella & Jacob.  The Enos family moved to Canada West, Jacob and Louisa settled in Chatham Township.  In 1863, the family relocated to the Buxton Settlement. Jacob and his large family lived on, and farmed the 50 acres Jacob purchased on the Thirteenth Concession at lot 6.
